As a Product Designer at Proper, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development process, from user interviews to feature ideation to tweaking pixels right before we ship. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to build

Proper’s web and mobile experiences. This is a remote full-time position

Responsibilities

● Take broad, conceptual ideas and transform them into useful interfaces for our user

base of tenants, landlords and contractors

● Create production-ready assets and documentation for delivery to our engineering

team

● Focus on designing reusable assets that will become part of a larger design system

shared across the design and engineering teams

● Design web and mobile experiences that are delightfully simple and elegant

● Collaborate with and contribute to strategic design decisions with the rest of the

product, design, engineering and founding teams

● Give and seek feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality

Requirements

● Excellent communication skills - ability to articulate your design decisions

● Proven ability to think about product strategy and vision with an obsessive focus on

user needs

● Extensive experience in designing web and mobile applications

● Proficiency in using design & prototyping tools (Sketch, Flinto, InVision, pen & napkin)

● Experience working with communication & collaboration tools (Zeplin, Mindmaps,

Slack, Skype, Google Docs)

● Motion design skills are a plus, but not necessary
